Josh Barro and I started Very Serious Media, which includes the Very Serious newsletter and podcast about politics, economics, culture, and the Serious Trouble podcast (“an irreverent legal podcast about crimes, torts, and all the characters who find themselves in serious trouble related to them”). Before Very Serious launched in 2022, I produced KCRW’s Left, Right & Center and LRC Presents: All The Presidents’ Lawyers (Josh hosted these shows, the latter with Ken White) from 2017-2021. I have worked in audio since 2015, on KCRW’s Press Play and in a lot of roles at Southern California Public Radio (89.3 KPCC): line editing a live local news show, producing Morning Edition, and covering weekend news.

Before I worked in public radio, I was the editor-in-chief of Time Out Los Angeles and a local reporter and editor in Los Angeles and in the Chicago suburbs. Before that, I was really into going to class at Northwestern University.

I enjoy swimming in the ocean, training for triathlons and tweeting almost never.
